History:
Interstate Industries
of MS, LLC was
founded in 1977 as Lexington Products
to supply General Motors. In 1980
Lexington Products was expanded by
the addition of Interstate Industries.
This new division was established to
provide electrical transfer systems to
a variety of OEM manufacturers including
Ford, Volkswagen, International, and IBM. |
 |
Resources
and experience to make it happen.
Later, 1989, Interstate
acquired a division of United Technologies to
produce ignition wires for the automotive aftermarket. This acquired
division became known as Triple A Manufacturing as it became part of the
growing Interstate family following its relocation from Ohio to
Mississippi.
In December of 1993, Interstate was acquired by a Fortune 500
company, one of the largest wire and cable producers in North America.
This affiliation brought vast technical and capital improvements. In
addition, through acquisition, Interstate was introduced to the electric
cord set business and; therefore, the world of Underwriters
Laboratories supplying original equipment manufacturers and the
aftermarket.
The ignition wire and cord set business
has since been sold, but the experience remains.
In January of 2000, a group of investors comprised of management and a founding owner/president purchased the company.
In March of 2004, Interstate
Industries was purchased and became part of the Fargo Assembly Company
family based in Fargo, North Dakota.
We are poised for growth in the years ahead — but we are determined
that future growth will never come at the expense of quality and
overall customer satisfaction.
